
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology hosted the Department of Quality and Academic Performance at University of Basrah. The department held a programmatic accreditation workshop for department and division officials across the university's various departments. Prof. Dr. Ammar Salman, Quality Officer at the University Presidency, explained the key aspects of programmatic accreditation, the scoring mechanism, and the most significant obstacles that may cause grades to be lost in the evaluation table and how to address them.
The workshop aims to clarify the aspects of programmatic accreditation and its implementation mechanisms, as well as to educate department and division officials across the university's departments about academic accreditation standards and improve departmental performance in line with quality standards. The workshop also seeks to promote a culture of quality and accreditation at the university to ensure the development of academic programs and the achievement of institutional excellence.
