A delegation from University of Basrah offered condolences to the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Basra on the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Reaffirming its unwavering humanitarian and national principles, and embodying its spirit of solidarity with the causes of the Muslim world, an official delegation from University of Basrah, headed by the University President, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, and including the deans of the colleges, visited the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Basrah to offer condolences on the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. They expressed their deep sorrow and sincere sympathy for this tragic loss that has shaken the conscience of the Muslim world.

During the visit, Al-Asadi emphasized that the martyrdom of this prominent leader represents a great loss for the Muslim world, given his influential presence in the fields of thought and action, and his supportive stances on the causes of peoples. He noted that University of Basrah, with all its faculty, staff, and students, shares the grief and sorrow of the Iranian people during this painful time.

 Al-Asadi also expressed the university's strong condemnation of the American-Zionist aggression targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran and its serious humanitarian and political repercussions across the region, emphasizing the importance of strengthening solidarity and cooperation among nations in the face of challenges and crises.

For his part, the Iranian consul expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for this fraternal initiative, which reflects the depth of human and cultural ties between the two peoples. He commended University of Basrah's stance and its sincere solidarity, affirming that such fraternal positions embody the unity of feelings and human solidarity among nations.
