The Department of Computer Information Systems was established in 2014 with the beginning of the establishment of the College of Information Technology at the University of Basra. The Department of Information Systems is one of the most important departments in the College of Information Technology. The information systems major is the link between computer science disciplines and various fields of work. Through this section, students are able to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze, design, develop and operate information systems in any governmental or private business organizations and institutions.
