The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on a comparative study of automatic evaluation of short questions in the Arabic language. The lecture aims to imitate human correction by looking at different aspects of writing. Different techniques can be used to design and program the AEG system, such as using machine learning algorithms and natural language processing (NLP) to analyze essay questions. The lecture, presented by a graduate student in the Department of Computer Information Systems, "Marwa Ali Abdul Samad", included training these algorithms on large data sets of human-corrected questions and answers to identify high-quality answers from low-quality ones. Once the training process is complete, they are used in automatic correction processes for new answers and assigning appropriate grades based on the patterns they have learned.
