The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Basra University organized a workshop on a new standard and vision for the development of higher education institutions. Standard Specifications ISO.21001.2018
The workshop included the definition of IS21001, where the teacher Maysa Abdul Karim showed that the standard for management system in educational institutions (EOMS) is a comprehensive international standard for all educational institutions that integrate and complement other international standards in a manner that suits the requirements of education and meets the expectations of new needs.
The workshop aimed at improving the alignment of goals and activities with the policy (including the mission and vision) and discussed the importance of the standard, its objectives, benefits and methods of applying it in educational institutions to obtain many advantages, including the good reputation of the educational institution.
The workshop recommended the establishment of a Quality Assurance Division based on international standards, and the participation of quality workers in training courses to develop their skills in applying the standard.
The workshop also recommended the necessity of involving students in the design and development of the educational process and the continuous development and improvement of curricula.
