As part of its commitment to fostering social solidarity and strengthening the university's humanitarian role in serving the community, professors from the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Basrah, organized a visit to the Al-Zuhur Orphanage, coinciding with the anniversary of the birth of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him).
The visit stemmed from the college's responsibility to support various segments of society. The professors presented gifts to the orphaned children, bringing joy to their hearts and emphasizing the importance of building bridges of human connection and instilling the spirit of giving and love that this blessed occasion represents.
The visit included a friendly meeting with the orphanage's administration, an opportunity to learn about the children's needs, and spending time with them in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This visit contributes to reinforcing humanitarian values among the faculty and translates the university's mission of serving the community in a practical and effective manner.
This initiative is part of a series of community activities that the College of Computer Science and Information Technology is keen to organize, based on its belief in its leading role in building a cohesive and compassionate society.
