With the support of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Salma Abdel-Baqi Mahmoud, a ceremony was held by the Department of Computer Information Systems to honor the lady (Nadia Karim Abbas), after she was referred to retirement and terminated his service at Basrah University. The ceremony was attended by officials, teachers and employees of the college, where some souvenirs were presented to her in appreciation of her efforts and dedication to work.

Mrs. Nadia Karim is considered one of the first teachers who served the college, as she was distinguished by her continuous activity and dedication. We thank her very much for everything. We ask Allah to protect her, and she will always remain in our hearts.
