The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture entitled An intelligent diagnostic system to predict liver cirrhosis using data mining with machine learning techniques. The lecture aims to diagnose liver cirrhosis early because it effectively slows down the progression of the disease and reduces the burden of health care costs on patients. The lecture, delivered by a graduate student in the Department of Computer Science, Duaa Sabah Ali, included a proposal to design and implement an effective automated system that uses machine learning algorithms based on medical records to accurately predict the early stages and development of liver cirrhosis in patients.
