The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on enhancing intellectual property management through Blockchain technology and smart contracts. The lecture aims to conduct secure transactions without the need for external supervision by automating and enforcing the terms of the contract. The lecture, presented by a graduate student in the Department of Computer Science, "Sajjad Abdul Karim Mohsen", included a basic technology that, when paired with intellectual property management, produces an irreversible and unchangeable record of the creation, ownership and distribution of assets. The terms of the agreement are encoded directly in the code in smart contracts, which are self-executing agreements
