University of Basrah Organizes a Specialized Training Course in Computer Network Technology (CISCO)

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Computer and Informatics Consulting Office, organized a specialized training course in Computer Network Technology (CISCO).

The course aims to provide participants with basic and advanced knowledge in computer networks, and how to manage and secure them, using the curriculum of Cisco, a leading global networking company. Through these courses, the college also seeks to enhance the practical and applied aspects of the curriculum and link it to the needs of the local and international labor market.

The course, delivered by the Head of the Computer Information Systems Department, Dr. Haider Muhammad Abdul Nabi, included various topics that combined theoretical and practical aspects. It addressed basic computer networking concepts and types of networks, such as local and wide area networks, while clarifying the mechanism of communication between devices. It also included a detailed explanation of network components, including routers, switches, and cables.
