The Department of Computer Information Systems at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah, in cooperation with Al-Thaqalain Hospital for Oncology, organized a symposium on early detection of breast cancer. The symposium aims to detect breast cancer early to increase the chances of recovery and improve treatment outcomes by detecting cancer in its early stages before it spreads to other tissues or organs. When cancer is detected early, treatment options are more effective, and the chances of recovery can be much higher. The symposium, delivered by Dr. Naaman Al-Mallah, included recommendations on early breast screening, identifying types of breast cancer and risk factors leading to the disease, in addition to its symptoms and prevention.
