The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at  University of Basrah organized a festival on the painful Speicher massacre with the participation of the Imam Hussein Cultural Center affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. The festival included commemorating this massacre, which sparked widespread global anger from human rights organizations and international governments. This incident is considered one of the most prominent atrocities committed by ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
