The Department of Computer Science at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a workshop for the evening study on “Proposals to develop curricula with the requirements of the labor market.” It is a continuation of the workshops held by the college in order to provide Students and enhancing their expertise in line with the requirements of the labor market in the field of technology and informatics and the rapid development taking place in it, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Imad S. Alshawi.
The workshop included two axes, the first of which was lectured by Saba Abdel Wahed Saddam, a lecturer on (how to develop curricula with the requirements of the labor market). The second axis was interventions by fourth-year students in the evening study, as they are an important segment that represents the direct link between colleges and the labor market, because the majority of students In this study, they are employees in various governmental and private sectors and in direct contact with the labor market, where they conveyed their experience during their years in the college and their private work, and presented proposals from its outcomes for students with competencies capable of entering the labor market. At the conclusion of the workshop, which resulted in recommendations adopted by dean of the college. Dean of the College thanked the attendees and those working, encouraging more of these workshops and development courses.
