The Assistant President of University of Basrah for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali H. Rashk, opened the ceremony in the presence of the Assistant President of University for Administrative Affairs. The Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology,Prof. Dr. Imad S. Alshawi, and a number of Basrah deputies, directors of state departments in the governorate, and many university employees and students participated in attending the opening ceremony of the complex.  Halls of the New Zahraa College of Medicine
 It was built and completed in record time in the Bab al-Zubair college complex in the Roman style. During the celebration, the university’s achievements were presented.
