The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Student Activities Unit, organized a workshop on drugs and their negative impact on society.
 The workshop, which was delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Ali Mohsen and Professor Muhannad Al-Khafaji, included the harms of drug abuse and its impact on the person in particular and society in general and the fatal diseases it causes. He also mentioned the most important symptoms of drug addiction and how to reduce this phenomenon by paying attention to the awareness aspects and intensifying initiatives that clarify the dangers of this phenomenon.  On the future of individuals and the importance of activating legal provisions to limit them in order to preserve human societies, especially student circles.
