The College of Computer Science and Information Technology was honored today with the visit of the respected President of Basra University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and was received by the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Salma Abdel-Baqi Mahmoud, where he was briefed on many aspects, including the campaign of cultivating the college gardens, which included all surrounding gardens In the college, with internal gardens, as well as building a nursery for the sustainability of the cultivation of new plants to continuously supplement the gardens.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the scientific committees of the departments of computer science and information systems, during which many scientific and practical aspects were discussed, which would raise the efficiency and achievements of the faculty staff of teachers and employees.
His Excellency urged the necessity of completing service projects for the community and also directing graduate students 'projects in this direction, and he also stressed the need to enhance and maximize the college's resources by urging the opening of a professional diploma while it contributes to serving the visual community and raising the level of efficiency of the service departments' employees in it.
At the end of the visit, he was briefed on the administrative electronic systems implemented by the Information Technology Unit and applied in the college, where he praised the efforts made and the need to invest them and cooperate with other university colleges by providing them with modern administrative systems.
The visit was concluded by praising the university president for all the above, with thanks for the spirit of teamwork among the faculty members and professors, which reflected positively on the college’s development.
