On Wednesday 07-12-2022, the University of Basrah was honored by the visit of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. (Abdullatif Rasheed) and his accompanying delegation of ministers, the Governor of Basra, and a group of officials in the governorate departments, including members of the House of Representatives. They were received by the honorable President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi and the members of the University Council, deans of faculties, directors of research centers and administrators at the university. His Excellency delivered a speech on the reality that Iraq and the Basri community live in, and the solutions they want to implement, and directing the ministers to start finding solutions and implementing them on the ground to solve the problem of Iraqi society. At the end of the visit, the President of the University presented a mantle embroidered with the University's logo to His Excellency and his accompanying delegation.
