On God’s blessing, at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, a master’s thesis was discussed with the tagged:
"Dynamic Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm" presented by the student (Sabreen Fawzy Rahim) in the Department of Computer Science under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maytham Abu Al-Hail, which was held in attendance and publicly in the Graduate Studies Hall in the college on Thursday, 23/12/2021.
The study dealt with the development of the Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm, which was inspired by the intelligent behavior of bees in their search for food. Where a dynamic ABC algorithm was proposed by developing the basic algorithm to deal with a variable-sized community and the necessary changes to the algorithm's working mechanism based on multiple statistical methods in addition to fuzzy logic as well as dealing with individuals of variable length.
The results of the tests conducted on several common data showed that the proposed algorithms outperform the basic algorithm and the results of other researchers in terms of the speed and quality of access to the optimal solution and for all test data.
The discussion was conducted in a scientific atmosphere and at the end of the discussion the committee approved the thesis and the student was awarded a master's degree after making the necessary modifications.
