Under the auspices of the Honorable President of Basra University, Dr. Saad Shaheen, the Honorable Mrs. Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Salma Abdal-Baqi Mahmoud, the honorable associates and heads of departments, received a delegation from the IEEE Foundation headed by Prof. Dr. Sattar Badr Sadkhan, who gave a scientific lecture on the mechanisms of scientific research and methods of publication and explained in it  Also, an introductory overview of the institution and its development at the Arab and international levels, and the facilities it provides to researchers, including professors and students.
 And in the presence of the President of the University, the agreement of the first scientific conference was signed, which the college will hold in cooperation with the Foundation during the next year, God willing
