University of Basrah Council, chaired by Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Al-Dahhan, held its fifteenth open morning session in the presence of his assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, the council secretary, and its members.

The session opened with a discussion of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with the university's vision for developing academic work and enhancing scientific research.

During the meeting, the agenda was reviewed, which included discussions on scientific and administrative affairs and mechanisms for developing scientific research, as well as consideration of several issues related to postgraduate and undergraduate students, approved according to ministerial regulations and instructions.

Al-Dahhan stated that the university is making steady progress towards achieving comprehensive academic quality, and that the outcomes of the regular university council meeting were aimed at enhancing the efficiency of administrative and scientific performance and propelling scientific research to the ranks of world-class universities.
