The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture entitled "Predicting Laryngeal Cancer Using Machine Learning Techniques."

The lecture aimed to develop a machine learning-based system for predicting the early stages of laryngeal cancer.

The lecture, presented by researcher Zahraa Mahmoud Abbas, included a brief overview of the proposed methodology, which utilizes the VGG16Net deep learning network and machine learning algorithms (LR, SVM, and KNN). It also covered the methods used to improve results, namely ANOVA-F and grid search, along with a review of the practical results obtained. The lecture highlighted the best-performing results and compared them with related work. Finally, it presented the study's conclusions.
