University of Basrah signed a scientific twinning agreement with Al-Kunooze University College, aiming to strengthen cooperation between public and private universities and facilitate the exchange of scientific and academic expertise.
The signing ceremony took place between the Cybersecurity Department at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Basrah, and the Cybersecurity Department at the College of Science, Al-Kunooze University College. The agreement aims to support faculty members and develop scientific and research skills.
The ceremony was attended by the President of Al-Kunooze Private University, Prof. Dr. Yousef Al-Asadi, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Miqdad Al-Hajjaj, the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Azhar Al-Sabounji, and the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Dr. Badour Al-Nouri.
The Vice President for Scientific Affairs at University of Basrah, Assistant Prof.Dr. Haider Khazal, represented the President of University of Basrah, Prof.Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, and the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Prof.Dr. Hisham Kadhum Hashim, was also present.
Both parties affirmed that this agreement represents a significant step towards strengthening scientific and research cooperation, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's directives to bolster private education and elevate the standards of academic institutions.
