University of Basrah Council held its tenth morning session for the 2025/2026 academic year, chaired by the University President, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhum Al-Asadi, and attended by all members.

The Council President opened the session with directives emphasizing the need to follow up on the implementation of previous decisions to ensure the continuity and smooth operation of both administrative and academic work.

The Council discussed the recent ministerial directives issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the mechanisms for their optimal implementation, contributing to enhancing the quality of institutional performance and developing the educational and research process in the university's colleges and centers.

Preparations for final exams topped the session's agenda. The University President stressed the importance of creating a suitable examination environment for students and providing all necessary logistical and technical requirements to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the examination process. He also emphasized the need for strict adherence to the approved examination regulations and instructions.

 At the conclusion of the session, the council called for concerted efforts among all colleges and academic departments, urging them to work as a unified team to overcome challenges and elevate the academic standing of  University of Basrah to a level befitting its prestigious academic reputation.
