The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah Commemorates Tree Planting Day by Planting in the College Gardens

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Hisham Kadhum Hashim, and with the participation of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and a number of faculty members, staff, and students, the college organized a campaign to rehabilitate and plant its gardens in celebration of Tree Planting Day.

The campaign included preparing and cleaning the green spaces and planting a variety of seedlings and plants in the college gardens, contributing to the aesthetic appeal of the university environment and raising awareness of the importance of preserving green spaces.

During the campaign, the Dean emphasized the importance of such initiatives in supporting the university environment and encouraging volunteer work among students and faculty members, as well as instilling a culture of caring for nature and increasing green spaces on campus.

This initiative is part of the activities that the college is keen to organize to contribute to improving the university environment and creating a suitable learning atmosphere for students.
