Prof. Dr. Hisham Kadhum Hashim, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah, participated in the University Council meeting, which was chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, the University President, and attended by all deans of colleges and council members.

The meeting included an extensive discussion of the most prominent approved scientific plans and programs in the colleges, as well as a review of mechanisms to develop academic and research performance and enhance the quality of higher education outcomes, keeping pace with modern scientific developments and serving the needs of society.

During the session, the University President stressed the necessity of unifying efforts and strengthening cooperation between the University Presidency and its various colleges, with the aim of supporting the educational process and improving performance on both the administrative and academic levels. This, in turn, will contribute to raising the University's standing and scientific ranking regionally and internationally.

For his part, Dr. Hisham Kadhum Hashim expressed his appreciation for the continuous support provided by the University Presidency to all colleges, affirming the College of Computer Science's commitment to continuing its diligent work to achieve the University's strategic goals and elevate the level of its educational outcomes to meet the demands of the labor market.
