The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture entitled: “Initial Population Preparation Strategies in Intelligent Optimization Algorithms: A Comparative Analytical Study.”
The lecture aimed to highlight the importance of the initialization phase in optimization algorithms and demonstrate its impact on convergence speed, diversity, and result stability. It also reviewed the most prominent modern methods used in this field.
The lecture, presented by researcher Zainab Obaid Falah and supervised by Dr. Maitham Abu Al-Hail Shahid, included a detailed explanation of the types of initialization strategies and a comparative analysis of their performance in various environments and problems. It also touched upon future research directions in this area.
