University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Poverty Eradication in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a training workshop entitled “Poverty Eradication in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.” The workshop aimed to highlight the key aspects of the first Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 1), explain proposed policies and solutions for reducing poverty rates, and raise student awareness of the role of academic institutions in supporting community development initiatives.

The workshop included a lecture by prof. Dr. Nada Hilal Jawda from the College of Administration and Economics, who addressed the most significant economic challenges related to poverty and ways to reduce it within the framework of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
