The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah Participates in a Scientific Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability at the University of Iraq

Dr. Labeed Abdullah Najm from the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at  University of Basrah delivered a scientific lecture at the symposium, organized by the Iraqi Mathematical Society and held at the University of Iraq in Basra. The symposium included professors and researchers from the universities of Basrah, Baghdad, Qadisiyah, Najaf, Anbar, and Dhi Qar.

The symposium was held under the theme: “With Mathematical Reasoning and Intelligent Systems, We Build Tomorrow’s Sustainability,” and its title was: “The Math Powers Deep Learning.”

The symposium aimed to highlight the importance of integrating mathematics and artificial intelligence in addressing contemporary challenges, enhance research collaboration between universities and scientific institutions, and open new horizons for researchers and students to utilize mathematical modeling in solving real-world problems.

The symposium covered several topics, including: environmental applications of artificial intelligence, quantitative analysis of the sustainable economy, smart education and digital transformation, and a discussion of the ethical aspects of intelligent systems.
