The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a training workshop entitled “Cyber ​​Extortion: Methods and How to Combat It.”

The workshop aimed to raise students' awareness of the dangers of cyber extortion and its various forms, and how to deal with extortion attempts targeting individuals through social media platforms, in addition to enhancing students' legal and security awareness.

The workshop included a lecture presented by Major Muheeb and Major Ali from the National Security Directorate in Basrah, in which they reviewed the most prominent methods used in extortion and ways to report and protect against cybercrimes.
