Under the patronage of the President of University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad al-Asadi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Hisham Kadhum, the college held a commemoration ceremony to mark the martyrdom of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The ceremony was organized by the Student Activities Department in cooperation with the college's Activities Unit.

The ceremony included various religious segments, beginning with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by reciter Ali Abdul Kadhum, followed by a eulogy delivered by Dr. Sadiq al-Muruj.

The aim of the ceremony was to recall the life of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), her heroic stances, and her great role in supporting Islam and defending its message.
