Under the patronage of the President of University of Basrah, Prof.Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Hisham Kadhum, the college organized an awareness lecture entitled “The Internet: Between Benefits and Risks.” This lecture was held in cooperation with the Student Activities Unit as part of its series of purposeful scientific and guidance activities.

The lecture aimed to promote a culture of digital security and technological awareness among students, and to highlight the positive aspects of the internet versus the risks that may accompany the irresponsible use of modern technologies.

The lecture included a presentation by Ali Mohsen, a student from the Department of Computer Science, and Mohammed Qasim, a student from the Department of Cybersecurity. They discussed methods of protection against cyberattacks, mechanisms for the safe use of websites and applications, and the importance of responsible digital behavior in cyberspace.
