The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture entitled "Using Deep Learning Techniques to Detect Cyber Attacks in the Internet of Things."
The lecture aimed to highlight the growing security challenges in the field of the Internet of Things and address the limitations of traditional intrusion detection systems in dealing with data diversity and evolving cyberattack patterns.
The lecture, delivered by Zainab Hani Hadi, a graduate student in the Department of Computer Information Systems, included a review of a research framework based on integrating conditional generative adversarial networks (CGANs) with long-short-term memory (LSTM) networks. It also presented practical results that demonstrated the effectiveness of this combination in improving the accuracy of intrusion detection and reducing false positives.
