Basrah – Under the patronage of Basrah Governor Eng. Asaad Abdul Amir Al-Eidani, and in the presence of the President of University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, the new building for the College of Dentistry in Zubair District was inaugurated.

The opening ceremony was attended by a number of deans of the university's colleges and local officials. The Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Hisham Kadhum Hashim, also participated in this important scientific event.

In his speech, the University President emphasized that "this step represents a qualitative shift in the development of university education and is the beginning of a comprehensive plan that will include the development of all university colleges and facilities." He noted that "this opening is the first step, to be followed by other openings to support the university's colleges and research centers."
