The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on detecting fingerprint liveness using a deep learning framework. The lecture aimed to address false threats posed by automatic fingerprint recognition systems and to distinguish between real and fake fingerprints.
The lecture, delivered by Aya Abdul Karim Hamid, a graduate student in the Department of Computer Information Systems, included a proposal for a lightweight deep learning network based on the ResNet architecture to distinguish between real and fake fingerprints.
