The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at  University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on utilizing large language models to automatically discover topics in Arabic texts.

The lecture aimed to develop an effective framework that uses LLMs to automate the process of discovering topics in Arabic documents with accuracy and speed. The lecture, delivered by Nour Salman Dawood, a graduate student in the Department of Computer Science, focused on the possibility of employing these models in analyzing the Arabic language. Arabic is a rich and complex language, both grammatically and semantically, making processing it a technical and linguistic challenge. Advances in LLMs are opening new horizons for addressing these challenges and achieving a deeper understanding of Arabic content.
