The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a lecture titled "Automated Detection of Automated Assessment Topics in Arabic." The lecture aimed to develop an artificial intelligence model capable of detecting off-topic answers in Arabic short answers, using natural language processing (NLP) techniques such as BERT and AraBERT. The lecture, delivered by Hanadi Hamed Abdul Rahman, a graduate student in the Department of Computer Science, addressed improving the accuracy of automated assessment and preventing the awarding of undeserved grades. It also aimed to help students improve the quality of their answers by providing clear feedback and reducing the burden on teachers by automating the assessment and feedback process.
