University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Lecture Titled "Detection and Classification of Palm Frond Diseases Using Deep Neural Networks"

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah organized a lecture titled "Detection and Classification of Palm Frond Diseases Using Deep Neural Networks" The lecture aimed to detect and classify diseases in palm leaves early to preserve agricultural production. The lecture, delivered by Marwa Abdul Halim Matar, a graduate student in the Department of Computer Information Systems, discussed the challenges associated with disease detection techniques, such as dealing with unbalanced data or low-quality images, and how these can be overcome. It also addressed the potential for applying this technology in modern agriculture and improving productivity through early disease detection.
