Master's thesis at University of Basrah examines a secure image encryption technique based on the blockchain

A master's thesis at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Basrah examines a secure image encryption technique based on the blockchain The thesis, presented by master's student Batoul Salem Aref, aims to transform images from their readable and understandable form into an incomprehensible form for people who are not allowed to identify them. To eliminate the problem of images being exposed to the risk of disclosure and privacy violation. The thesis included the use of additional techniques such as SHA-256 and SHA3-256 to serve as a strong source of clear blockchain sensitivity where hashing is adopted to connect blocks between them in addition to secure proof of work. The strength of the proposed technique was evaluated through differential attack, information entropy, correlation coefficient analysis, and others.
