University of Basrah organizes an awareness seminar on the dangers of war remnants

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at  University of Basrah organized an awareness seminar on the dangers of war remnants. The seminar aims to raise awareness among students and reduce injuries and deaths resulting from unsafe handling of these remnants. The seminar was presented by trainer Mohammed Jassim Mohammed from the International Committee of the Red Cross, and Professor Laith Amin Obaid, Head of the Media Department at the Committee, in addition to trainer Jaber Kazem Jaber from the Mine Action Department in Basra. The seminar addressed the definition of war remnants such as landmines and unexploded bombs, and the importance of being careful with them, with an explanation of safe ways to deal with suspicious objects, to enhance safety in areas affected by conflicts. The seminar was well received by the college and its staff, who interacted with the information presented regarding safety and security in the event of injury.
