The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Basra University organized a professional application (PowerPoint) course on the google classroom platform.
The course consisted of four modules over a period of four days. The first axis consisted of two parts, the first part was a lecture on the use of hyperlinking to design a distinguished presentation, presented by the teacher Basaer Youssef from the College of Science, in which she touched on the use of the hyperlink feature to link between the pages of the presentation interactively. The teacher, Hoda Adel, presented the second part, in which she explained the methods of using the effect of writing by hand, where she explained two ways to use this effect professionally.
In the second axis, the course demonstrated the use of effects to design a distinctive interactive presentation, where the teacher, Basaer Youssef, explained the use of effects in an interactive 3D display. In its third axis, presented by teacher Hoda Adel, the session explained 20 of the secrets of PowerPoint, in which she touched on important secrets in the application of PowerPoint that may be ignorant of many. As for the fourth axis, it consisted of two parts, the first was a general discussion, and the second part was a test for the participants, where the test was successfully passed.
The course aimed to employ the skills and ideas in the PowerPoint application professionally because it is a familiar application and is frequently used by all groups and specialties and by using the features available in it in an innovative way that will compensate for the use of other programs in designing, recording lectures, etc.
At the end of the session, a questionnaire was made for the participants about the pros and cons of the course. The responses were very encouraging, in which they praised the good organization of the session and the great benefit of the material presented, with many requests to hold similar courses. Where the course was popular with a large number of students, employees, professors, alumni and other than most of the Iraqi provinces and a number of Arab countries. The session recommended the establishment of other intensive and advanced courses for the rest of the Microsoft Office applications.
