The College of Computer Science and Information Technology carried out a campaign of cultivation and maintenance of the college's gardens, in which a number of distinguished students of the college participated.

This campaign is considered a continuation of the campaign launched by the President of Basra University, Dr. Saad Shaheen, in afforesting empty spaces at the university, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Dr. Salma Abdel-Baqi, and the head of the Student Activities Unit, Dr. Zuhair.

Student activity in planting the college gardens is one of the most important practical means through which students translate their love for their college through their contributions to planting seedlings and uprooting bushes from the college walls to show them in a beautiful and decent fashion.
