In celebration of the Iraqi National Day, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basra held a flag-raising ceremony on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Students, faculty members, and staff proudly celebrated their national pride and demonstrated their unity with the nation and its flag. The atmosphere was filled with joy and anticipation as the ceremony witnessed a large turnout of students, faculty, and staff. The event featured various segments, including the heartfelt and respectful raising of the Iraqi flag. The celebration also saw active participation from enthusiastic student groups, who recited poetry and Quranic verses. These proceedings provided an opportunity for the college to express its love and loyalty to Iraq and to foster a sense of patriotism among aspiring youth. Raising the national flag symbolizes unity and strength, and the College of Computer Science and Information Technology proudly commemorates this special National Day.
