On the third day of the Iraq Education Conference, the University of Basra's College of Computer Science and Information Technology was represented by Dr. Salma Abdul Baqi Mahmoud, the respected dean of the college, and Professor Saba Abdul Wahid Saddam, the esteemed head of the college's media department. They participated in the conference hosted at the Baghdad International Fairground by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the third consecutive day.

The first session of the third day was inaugurated by Dr. Haider Abid Dhahed, the honorable Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Research Affairs, along with members of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Dr. Haider Al-Mutairi and Dr. Firas Al-Musallamawi. The session was dedicated to discussing important laws related to the education sector within the ministry, including Law No. 40 on Higher Education, Private Education Law, the 2020 Certificate Equivalency Law, Consultancy Offices Law, and amendments to the Postgraduate Studies Law and Academic Promotions Law.
