Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi announced that more than 600 specialized departments in engineering and science colleges in public and private universities will witness the implementation of Bologna Process procedures in the upcoming academic year 2024/2023.

This came during his chairmanship of a meeting of the advanced faculty in the presence of members of the central committee and the sub-committees for the implementation of the Bologna Process in universities, where the Minister of Education explained that the Bologna Process represents the most important priorities of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, pointing to the importance of redoubling the efforts of the committees responsible for implementing this path in more than 600 specialized scientific departments in engineering and science colleges with the beginning of the new academic year.

The participants reviewed the Bologna Process Accreditation Guide in universities and what is related to admission, registration, tests, and ensuring the quality of application of procedures, especially the guidelines for the curriculum, the curriculum, the courses, the description of the courses, and the electronic system for managing the educational process.

Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi affirmed that the universities and their colleges are responsible for implementing the Bologna Process and the success of its procedures, noting that the evaluation of the university institution and its leaders will be in light of the implementation indicators and the interaction achieved, calling at the same time to invest the new variable that this path provides in linking university specializations to the labor market.

The meeting discussed a number of axes on the agenda, including the updating path for the curriculum in university specializations and the file of facilitating procedures related to the affairs of citizens, while the Minister of Education stressed the need to make the utmost efforts in this regard and to enable citizens and reviewers to achieve their goals within specific timelines and administrative and legal contexts.
