Under the patronage of Dr. Saad Shaheen Hamadi, the respected President of the University of Basra, and under the supervision of Dr. Salma Abdul-Baqi Mahmoud, the respected Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, and with the attendance of deans from the University of Basra, including the College of Engineering, the College of Science, and the College of Marine Sciences, as well as the scientific and examination committees in the university, the College of Computer Science organized a workshop on Thursday, May 25, 2023, about the Bologna System intended to be implemented at the University of Basra.

Dr. Zaid Alaa Hussein, Assistant Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences - University of the South, presented the required steps to implement this system through the preparation of new curricula and different study hours than those currently followed at the university. He also explained how to calculate the total required hours for student graduation, ensuring that the student is adequately equipped with both theoretical and practical backgrounds that qualify them to enter the job market after graduation. The workshop included interventions from the participants and provided answers to questions related to the implementation of this system.
