Under the auspices of the respected President of the University of Basra, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Salma Abdul-Baqi Mahmoud, the advisory unit in the College of Computer Science held counseling meetings with students of all stages in order to achieve the university’s goal of achieving sound scientific, psychological and educational growth For the university student, and to help students overcome the difficulties and obstacles that they may face. The head of the guidance unit, Dr. Abdul Hai Abdul Nabi, in cooperation with the psychological counselor at the college, Nawal Muhammad, held meetings with college students aimed at introducing students to the nature of the counseling unit’s work and the services it will provide to them. An opportunity was also opened for dialogue with students and answering all their inquiries. The unit will continue to hold counseling and awareness-raising meetings and lectures regarding correct study methods and ways to achieve excellence and success and get rid of psychological pressures, individual and group counseling sessions will also be held for students.
