Women are Partners in Sustainable Development

Under the auspices of the respected President of the University of Basra, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Salma Abdul-Baqi Mahmoud, the Women Empowerment Unit in the college, in cooperation with the Information Center for Research and Development, Basra Branch, organized a workshop under the slogan “Iraqi Women are Partners in Sustainable Development” The work set up by the college to show the role of women in innovation and technology for equality based on gender, coinciding with the celebrations of International Women’s Day, where the workshop included three axes, including a lecture by the dean of the college, in which she explained the role of Arab women in general and Iraqi women in particular in facing challenges and obstacles and demonstrating their pioneering role in society and her entry into the world of digitization and her developments, in addition to her duties, as she shed light on building the family, as it is the basic building block in the development of nations, and preparing her in an integrated manner in order to play the role that is appropriate to the size of the responsibility entrusted to her, as well as the merit and qualifications in which she performs as an active and moving element in the face of educational, professional and functional tasks since she is the basis for success on all levels, as she is the mother, sister and father and wife, and in every aspect of life, has an active presence.
