Discussion of a master's thesis on "Extending the life of heterogeneous wireless sensor networks through moving cluster heads"

With God’s blessing, on Thursday 27/1-2022 and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basra, Dr. Salma Abdel-Baqi Mahmoud, the respected Master’s thesis presented by the student Muhammad Dia in the Department of Computer Science was discussed in the presence of the graduate studies hall and marked
Extending the life of heterogeneous wireless sensor networks through moving cluster heads” under the supervision of Dr. Imad Shaalan, which aimed to provide approaches to achieve a balance in energy consumption in wireless sensor networks (homogeneous and heterogeneous) and thus extend the life of the network.
To avoid power consumption near the main station in monolithic networks,
And eliminate the problem of energy consumption in heterogeneous networks
The performance of the presented protocols in this work was very convincing compared to the protocols in the previous works in terms of extending the life of both normal sensors and head sensors for substations. After extensive scientific discussion by the committee in charge of discussing with the student, the committee decided to accept the thesis with honors.
