The Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basra, Dr. Salma Abdel-Baqi Mahmoud Al-Mathramah, participated in the third symposium held by the Women Empowerment Unit at Shatt Al-Arab University College, under the auspices of the Dean of the College, as part of a series of seminars held for the Women Empowerment Support Program, where Dr. Salma Abdel-Baqi gave a lecture under  The title "Empowering Women Leadership", in which she explained the role of Iraqi women in society scientifically, religiously, politically and economically in its various civil and rural types, and what are the duties that she and she have to be a supportive and active element in society alongside men to obtain the required integration for the advancement of Iraqi society
