<p>The University of Basrah fostere+A1d the first Computer Science Department in Iraq which was established back in the early 80&rsquo;s of the last century. Due to the computer-based technological revolution the local society needed, and still do, a large number of qualified personnel in the field of computer and information technology. This led to the evolution of the monumental Computer Science department into the College of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) back in 2014.</p>
